Perimenopuase & Menopause

Whole‑body, supportive care for bladder changes, pelvic comfort, heaviness, pain, prolapse, and strength changes during  midlife.

Perimenopause and menopause bring meaningful changes to your pelvic floor, hormones, bladder, bowel, and sexual health — but these changes are often misunderstood or dismissed. You may notice new symptoms like dryness, heaviness, leakage, discomfort with intimacy, or shifts in strength and stability. Pelvic floor therapy can help you understand what’s happening, support your body through this transition, and help you feel strong, confident, and connected again. I offer one‑on‑one, whole‑body care in a private, calm environment designed specifically for women.

Common Perimenopause & Menopause Symptoms I Treat

  • Bladder leakage or urgency

  • Increased frequency or incomplete emptying

  • Vaginal dryness or discomfort

  • Pain with intercourse

  • Pelvic pressure or heaviness

  • Prolapse symptoms

  • Low back, SI joint, or hip discomfort

  • Core weakness or instability

  • Constipation or bowel changes

  • Abdominal or pelvic tension

  • Post‑hysterectomy pelvic changes

Why Perimenopause & Menopause Symptoms Happen

As estrogen levels shift, the tissues of the pelvic floor, bladder, and vaginal walls naturally become less supported. This can lead to dryness, irritation, bladder changes, prolapse symptoms, and discomfort with intimacy. Hormonal changes also influence muscle strength, coordination, and connective tissue support — which can affect the pelvic floor, hips, low back, and core. Stress, sleep changes, and nervous system shifts can add another layer. A whole‑body assessment helps us understand what your body needs to feel supported and strong during this transition.

How Pelvic Floor Therapy Helps

Pelvic floor therapy supports midlife pelvic health by improving strength, coordination, mobility, comfort, and confidence. We’ll work on:

  • Pelvic floor relaxation and activation

  • Strategies for dryness and comfort

  • Hip, SI joint, and low back mobility

  • Core strength and stability

  • Breathing mechanics

  • Posture and movement patterns

  • Prolapse support strategies

  • Nervous system calming techniques

  • Gentle manual therapy (internal or external, only if appropriate and comfortable)

  • Lifestyle and exercise modifications

You’ll learn how hormonal changes affect your pelvic floor, why your symptoms are happening, and what you can do to feel more comfortable and confident.

What to Expect in Your Sessions

Your sessions are always one‑on‑one in a private, supportive environment. We begin with a whole‑body assessment, discuss your goals, and create a plan tailored to your stage of perimenopause or menopause. You’ll receive clear education, gentle guidance, and practical strategies you can use right away — whether you’re navigating new symptoms or wanting to feel strong and connected again.
