Pelvic Pain

A whole‑body, supportive approach to pelvic pain, low back pain, SI pain, hip pain, intercourse pain, and nerve‑related symptoms.

Pelvic pain can show up in many different ways — sharp, aching, burning, pressure, heaviness, or tension — and it often affects daily life, exercise, intimacy, and emotional well‑being. Whether your pain began postpartum, during perimenopause or menopause, after an injury, or seemingly out of nowhere, pelvic floor therapy can help you understand what’s happening and create meaningful, lasting change. I offer one‑on‑one, whole‑body care in a private, calm environment designed specifically for women.

Why Pelvic Pain Happens

Pelvic pain often develops when the pelvic floor, core, hips, and nervous system are not working together the way they should. Sometimes the pelvic floor is too tight or guarded; sometimes it’s weak or uncoordinated. Hormonal changes, childbirth, posture, movement patterns, stress, scar tissue, and even daily habits can all contribute. Because the pelvic floor connects to the hips, SI joints, low back, and abdomen, pain in one area often influences the others. A whole‑body assessment helps us understand the root cause so we can treat the true source of your symptoms.

How Pelvic Floor Therapy Helps

Pelvic floor therapy supports pelvic pain by improving relaxation, coordination, strength, mobility, and nervous system regulation. We’ll work on:

  • Pelvic floor relaxation and coordination

  • Gentle manual therapy (internal or external, only if appropriate and comfortable)

  • Hip, SI joint, and low back mobility

  • Core and pelvic stability

  • Breathing mechanics

  • Posture and movement patterns

  • Nervous system calming strategies

  • Scar tissue mobility when needed

  • Lifestyle and activity modifications

You’ll learn how your pelvic floor and surrounding muscles work together, why your symptoms are happening, and what you can do to feel more comfortable and confident.

What to Expect in Your Sessions

Your sessions are always one‑on‑one in a private, supportive environment. We begin with a whole‑body assessment, discuss your goals, and create a plan tailored to your stage of life — whether postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, or beyond. You’ll receive clear education, gentle guidance, and practical strategies you can use right away.
